Part IV (Distorted Notes on “Incubating Narratives, Haegue Yang”, Hamburger Bahnhof, Berlin, Oct. 04, 2025)

Inge Nabuurs performing in a setting on a stage with curtains in front of a television on which she is also seen but in another persona wearing a mask penetrating her skin while she repeats "I don't know"
The Ghost That Never Left, 2013, installation view 'Truth vs. Family @Onomatopee, Eindhoven

We present ourselves through interplay

revealing and concealing

What is absent drives drama

What is hidden sets things in motion

A good crisis is not distraction but condition

You must enter

a nothing-to-lose state

to dive

into the new

Leaving your homeland

confronts every small principle

between public and private life

Blinds between

fragmenting light

shaping mood

letting in, shutting out

Blinds

always dual

always between

Since the internet

there is no longer a between

Public and private collapsed

into one indistinct surface

Why am I looking?

What happened?

Who is the host?

Who do we serve?

This missing threshold

is today’s universal narrative

Where can we find a place

not reducible to contracts?

A place like love

not learned

but practiced

A place stitched

from failures

A geography of displacement

like art

stage becomes place

life becomes play

no one serves genre

no one finds their way home

all concentrate on belonging

and commit

to navigation
