These images reveal new meanings for the contemporary body in which relationship and friction coincide. Take, for example, the idea of more and more technically interconnected, post-human bodies competing with traditional identity and gender-based images that are still largely in circulation today. The body, through our technological interventions, appears as a fragmented and ambiguous entity - in which power and control manifest themselves. At the same time, the body still represents an organic basis - from which countless wishes and desires are formulated. By projecting (illuminating) slang (correspondance) onto the female body of a dancer, Nabuurs & Van Doorn focus on the technological and social conditions of human existence.
