For Rolling Snowball 18, the duo presents d r i f t, a five-channel video installation originating from footage of a serene sunrise filmed over the lake at artist residency Nieuw en Meer in Amsterdam. What began as a moment of quiet observation later revealed an unforeseen gravity, transforming the images from a record of stillness into something more fragile and unresolved.

Reactivated and recontextualized, the footage functions as both vanitas and memorial. Inverted across five screens — each forming a letter of the word drift — the work hovers in a state of suspension. Calm and disquiet, beauty and loss, presence and absence fold into one another, allowing meaning to emerge not through explanation, but through duration and attention.
